The St. Augustine Garrison is a group of re-enactors that portray the life and times of Spanish soldiers and their families in the Presidio de San Agustin in 1740. Our goal is to provide living history to visitors and to preserve the Spanish history of St. Augustine. Our unit can provide military demonstrations consisting of cannon and musket firing, drill and ceremony, flogging and soldier camp life. In addition, we can provide other 18th century living history crafts, such as blacksmithing, candle making, leather craft, fire making, cooking, pottery making, spinning and weaving and woods lore. We have monthly meetings at the St. Johns County Library on US1, second Monday at 7:00 PM.  To contact the group:
